The Nightmare Shadow is a Werewolf with the ability to terrify players and disrupt their plans.
Every night, the Nightmare Shadow can choose one player to terrify. Terrified players cannot act that night. If the chosen player is a Werewolf, the entire Werewolf team is unable to carry out their attack for that night.
The Nightmare Shadow cannot choose the same player to terrify two nights in a row. On the first night, the Nightmare Shadow acts independently and does not yet know the identities of the other Werewolves.
Terrified players are notified that they cannot act, but they do not learn the identity of the Nightmare Shadow.
