Sheriff

The Sheriff is an optional role that can influence the course of the game. By default, games are played without a Sheriff, but you can enable this role in the game options.

How the Sheriff is Chosen

• After the first night, before announcing the players who didn’t survive, players have the opportunity to nominate themselves for the Sheriff election.
• Once nominations are complete, the candidates are announced to everyone.
• Each candidate gives a speech to convince others to vote for them.
• During their speech, a candidate may choose to resign, removing themselves from the election.

Voting for the Sheriff

• After all speeches, the players who are not candidates cast their votes to elect the Sheriff.
• The player with the most votes becomes the Sheriff.

The Sheriff’s Role in the Game

• The Sheriff’s vote counts as 1.5x a regular vote.
• The Sheriff always speaks last before each voting phase, giving them extra influence.
• If the Sheriff is eliminated, they can appoint a new Sheriff before leaving the game.
